The only sweeteners that don't aggravate Candida are stevia and xylitol. Mallitol is okay too, but it tends to cause a lot of GI distress. No, Splenda is not allowed. It is a chemical, not a food. Yacon syrup may be okay too, but isn't too tasty. The key is to break your addiction to sweets.

Hello there my name is Joy and I recently found out I have a candida overgrowth in my body. I have to admit it is really hard to stay on a candida diet. I have struggled a lot to find what I can and cannot eat. I have searched so many different websites and some say I can have oatmeal and whole grains and some say I can't it get confusing what to do. I was using stevia as a sweetener but I think I might be allergic to it maybe not sure yet so I wanted to switch to something different to see if I was. What other sweeteners can I use for candida? I wanted to use Splenda, but I guess that isn't allowed.
