A long-term study performed by the Wisconsin Sleep Cohort found that people who experience chronic sleep-deprivation are three times more likely to die than those who are well-rested.
These are frightening statistics especially when you consider the fact that chronic insomnia is experienced by approximately 10 to 15 percent of the adult population.
