In addition to the death of this child, the other horrifying aspect of this story is how deeply both the mother and law enforcement would like to deny it was the pesticides that caused this tragedy. They both desperately wanted to find some other cause. The lack of awareness in our society about pesticide toxicity is both alarming and sad.
