Finding candida diet recipes
that offer variety in your menu can be
difficult to find. This is because the best anti-candida diet is
one that is very simple and consists of only a few ingredients.
Your meals should be at least three meals a day or 4 or 5 meals a day
to help keep your blood sugar and hunger under control.
Snacking should be limited. If you do partake, it should be in
the form of veggies or nuts if these are tolerable.
Most of my typical meals consist of three very basic and plain items. Meat, vegetables and healthy oil. In some meals I include a small serving of nuts and/or low sugar fruit and occasionally a serving of yogurt.
This may consist of ground buffalo, ground, turkey, ground beef, beef
patties, chicken patties, chicken breast, chicken thighs, turkey
patties, chicken patties etc.
The largest portion is meat, then vegetables are almost equal, then a very
small amount of fruit or nuts. Most meals contain no nuts or fruit.
Steaming is always the preferred method for cooking vegetables because
it retains more nutrients that way. Don't use Teflon coated pans.
Glass or stainless steel should be use.
It is my opinion, that we should stick as closely as possible to the
Paleolithic diet for optimal health.
The best candida diet
recipes contain very few ingredients.
6 to 8 ounces of meat
6 to 8 ounces of vegetables
(when you're reducing carbohydrates, this must be replaced with protein
and vegetables or otherwise you'll be starving)
2 or 3 ounces of carbohydrates.
I recommend that potatoes, brown rice and any grain be avoided and use only on special occasions, but if you
include them, then your serving should be restricted to 1 or 2 tablespoons of potatoes or rice, or half piece of spelt
bread, kamut bread or brown rice bread).
Sometimes I allow myself a couple ounces of fruit and half cup of
yogurt.
Once every ten days or so or on holidays and special occasions I will indulge in a
special dessert from the choices you see below
Here are some of the candida diet recipes that I eat regularly.

Strawberries and Crushed Walnuts
- 5 or 6 fresh or slightly thawed frozen strawberries

Slice the strawberries and sprinkle with crushed walnuts.
Cherries and Almond Butter
- cherries. (I like to buy frozen ones and then let them thaw, because they have a softer texture.)
- almond butter
Put cherries and almond butter on a plate or in a bowl. Dip the cherries into the almond butter or drizzle the almond butter across the cherries. The two flavors together really compliment one another and is exquisite.
Bananas and Dates
Slice a banana into slices. Put into a bowl with some dates. This is very good for satisfying intense cravings for carbohydrates.
Frozen Banana
Take banana out of skin and wrap in foil or plastic wrap. Freeze for more than 24 hours. Will keep for several months.
Good as a Popsicle alternative.
Alternatively, you could put the frozen banana in the blender with a spoon of nut butter and a dash of cinnamon and turn it into ice cream. This has a slightly different texture and flavor than the banana ice cream I mentioned earlier.
Frozen Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Peaches etc.
Freeze any desired fruit and then eat as desired in bowl. Can leave them in whole pieces or you can crush them into a sorbet.
Fruit Salad

- 1 bag of frozen blueberries
- 1 bag of frozen strawberries
- 3 fresh bananas
Mix all these together in a bowl and let them sit covered in the fridge for several hours so their juices can combine.

Slice your dates in a bowl and add a tablespoon of macadamia butter. Dip the dates in the butter or drizzle across. This is also a very satisfying treat when having an intense craving for carbohydrates.
